Delegates will gain a thorough understanding of the duties of a temporary works supervisor. This knowledge will allow you to provide on-site support to the temporary works coordinator. You will be able to implement the contractor’s procedure for the control of temporary works.
This course is suitable for anyone who is responsible for temporary works, it will give delegates the understanding of what your responsibilities are, and the roles of others.
Course Content:
- Understanding the role of a Temporary Works Supervisor.
- The roles and duties of TWS and the roles of others on site.
- The code of best practice for temporary structures on building sites.
- The relevant aspects of BS5975+A1:2011; how it is used with the role, legislation and relevant codes of practice.
- The value of Communication, Co-ordination, Co-operation and Competency - known as “the 4Cs”.
- The need for Risk Management. Risk management on a construction site, both business and safety-related.
Assessment
- There is a knowledge test at the end of the course, with multiple-choice questions.
