Course Content:
- Understanding the role of a Temporary Works Co-ordinator.
- Why they are needed, and the roles of others on site.
- How to manage the temporary works process.
- The code of best practice for temporary structures on building sites.
- BS5975 and how it is used with the role, and legislation and relevant codes of practice.
- The importance of the “4Cs”: Communication, Co-ordination, Co-operation and Competency.
- The need for Risk Management. Risk Assessments, and Method Statements.
Assessment
- There is a knowledge test at the end of the course, with multiple-choice questions.
