Delegates will gain a thorough understanding of good risk and safety management that you can apply on your worksite. This knowledge, combined with your experience, will make you a better temporary works co-ordinator. You will be able to competently manage your site, knowing you have the updated knowledge of the latest legislation.

This course is suitable for anyone who has the responsibility of managing all forms of temporary works, it will give delegates the tools to progress in the role and better manage health and safety.

 

Course Content:

  • Understanding the role of a Temporary Works Co-ordinator.
  • Why they are needed, and the roles of others on site.
  • How to manage the temporary works process.
  • The code of best practice for temporary structures on building sites.
  • BS5975 and how it is used with the role, and legislation and relevant codes of practice.
  • The importance of the “4Cs”:  Communication, Co-ordination, Co-operation and Competency.
  • The need for Risk Management. Risk Assessments, and Method Statements.

 

Assessment

  • There is a knowledge test at the end of the course, with multiple-choice questions.

 

Certification

  • CITB Digital Certificate
  • Certification is valid for 5 years
