The SSSTS course is for people who have, or expect to acquire, supervisory responsibilities in the construction industry.
Course Content:
- The Health and Safety at Work Act
- HSE Regulations
- Specific site issues that challenge supervisors on a daily basis
- Control Measures and Risk Assessments
- Effective Toolbox Talks
- Supervision of Occupational Health
- Behavioural Safety
Assessment
- There is a knowledge test at the end of the course, with multiple-choice questions and 3 short written questions.
Certification
- CITB Certificated (Site Safety Plus Scheme)
- Certification is valid for 5 years
CITB Short Duration Course Grant:
- Tier 2
- £140 on successful completion of the course
CITB Funding:
- The course could be added to a Skills & Training Fund Application OR
- The course could be funded through the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Employer Network
