The SMSTS Course highlights the need for risk assessment in the workplace, the implementation of the necessary control measures and adequate communication to sustain a health and safety culture within the workforce.
Course Content:
At the end of the course, you will be able to:
- Implement all health, safety, welfare and environmental legislation affecting your daily work;
- Implement new guidance and industry best practice;
- State your duties and responsibilities with regards to health, safety, welfare and the environment
Assessment
- There is a knowledge test at the end of the course.
Certification
- CITB Certificated (Site Safety Plus Scheme)
- Certification is valid for 5 years.

- Tier 3
- £240 on successful completion of the course
CITB Funding:
- The course could be added to a Skills & Training Fund Application OR
- The course could be funded through the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Employer Network
