The PASMA Towers for Users Course is for those who need to erect, dismantle and inspect mobile access towers safely.
Course Content:
- Safely construct and deconstruct Mobile Access Towers (MATs)
- Correctly carry out a full safety inspection of towers
- Gain a greater awareness of the hazards associated with towers
- Assembling, altering, and dismantling towers incorporating current best practices for fall protection
- The Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required for working safely with MATs
- The legislation, guidance, and working at height-regulations associated with the use of MATs
- Product Standards EN 1004
- PASMA Code of Practice
- Current best practice for fall protection
- Completion of Tower Inspection Records
Assessment
- There is a knowledge test at the end of the course, with multiple-choice questions.
- Practical Assessment.
Certification
- PASMA e-certificate and Photocard.
- Certification is valid for 5 years.
Additional Information
- The assembly and use of mobile towers can be physically demanding, users should be physically fit and in good health.
- Delegates should not have problems with eyesight or hearing, heart disease, high blood pressure, epilepsy, fear of heights/vertigo, giddiness/difficulty with balance, impaired limb function, alcohol or drug dependence or psychiatric illness.
- PPE Requirements: Safety Helmet with Chin Strap, Gloves, Hi-Vis Vest/Jacket, Safety Footwear, Warm/Wet weather clothing as required.
