This course will help delegates to ensure that fire risks are identified, managed, and controlled in compliance with legal and best practice standards, thereby safeguarding people, property, and the environment.
Course Content:
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
- Understand the fundamentals of fire science, including how fires start, spread, and can be extinguished.
- Recognise and interpret key fire safety legislation and understand their legal responsibilities as a Fire Safety Co-ordinator.
- Identify potential fire hazards in a range of workplace settings and understand how to reduce or eliminate these risks.
- Contribute to effective fire risk assessments, ensuring that risks are documented and mitigated appropriately.
- Review, maintain, and improve fire safety arrangements, including emergency procedures, fire drills, and staff training.
- Promote a proactive fire safety culture within the organisation through leadership, communication, and ongoing monitoring.
